presenting more heroes
Dec. 2nd, 2015 01:42 pmSo Lils and I got to talking and we decided we wanted to give you another kick-ass Super-Hero, and what better than a super-hero based upon Little Red Riding Hood! So we took a little of feminism, some color, and then we decided to flip gender expectations, so I proudly present our Latina super-hero…LONE-WOLF! Lone-Wolf is actually Alma Alfaro, a community college student in Steinbeck City, the daughter of a long line of werewolves. She works in her own constructed costume which she's constructed from clothes she's gotten from the Good Will and her own sewing work. She has fingerless gloves so she can let her slaws out, and her outfit is roomy so she can allow some muscle shifting with her Were transformation. She carries with her a baseball bat with nails in it, which is usually strapped to her back.
AND WITH HER IS HER (not really a sidekick and not really an adversary, more like that jerk who also stops crimes with you when you run into each other) FELLOW HERO, RED HOOD. Red Hood is actually Cameron (Cam) Patterson, who had originally wanted to go as the SCARLET-GHOST, but after so many pictures in the papers alongside Lone-Wolf, the general public of Steinbeck named him Red Hood (which isn't their fault, because he wears a red hood and is usually seen with a wolf super-hero). He uses archery, his years of gymnastics, and is fair haired and green eyed (literally) and basically looks like he was carved by an angel. So, yes, he's an asshole. He'll get better. Hopefully.
They actually go to the same community college, and know each other as THAT GIRL WHO IS ALWAYS SMILING AND CHEERY and THAT RUDE JERK WHO HAS A PISSY ATTITUDE.

elyonblackstar, commissioned by me, so please do not take. Welcome to an emotional image of Wally transforming into the Gargoyle while Jenny tries to calm him down. We both can correctly guess that this is not even going to do some good because Wally is about t turn into the Gargoyle and then go after Alley-Cat because it's DESTINY or some other bs I have yet to come up with.
Anyways, enjoy. This picture is brought to you by Every Depressing Romance Song Ever.

out on the fire escape

Jenny out on the fire escape of Lottie's apartment building with the strays she and Lottie took in while Jenny was growing up. They'd take in a stray, nurse it back to health, then try to find them homes, and if they couldn't, then they'd keep it. The very first stray they ever took in, however, is a permanent resident. And that's the one in her lap -- Bunsen (after a bunsen burner, because Jenny likes science stuff). He's been with Jenny since she was ten, which was when Jenny lost her parents -- three weeks following her tenth birthday, actually.
Jenny was always good with animals growing up, and you know by her taking in and nursing strays that she's very compassionate, but after the Combination (the cat DNA bonded to the human DNA) got into her bloodstream and changed her, she became more in tune with her feline pals.
